What it is, in three words
HonestLightManual
What’s inside

Six features. All of them.

There is no long tail. These six are the whole app. If you need a seventh, it probably belongs in a different app — and if that app doesn’t exist, maybe we’ll make it.

Log

Sets × reps × weight.

Type a row. Duplicate for another set. Check it off. Done.

Volume PRs

The PRs that count.

Max weight × reps, grouped by exercise. Top five and a full list. Honest volume, not extrapolated 1RM.

Templates

Static plans, ready.

Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, 4-Day Strength — built in. Save your own and edit it freely.

Rest timer

Inline, haptic.

A vibration between sets, not a siren. Lives in the workout screen. Skip it any time.

Library

Exercises, by muscle group.

A built-in catalog with categories. Add your own when something’s missing.

Backup

Full JSON backup.

Your whole history, yours to keep.

We built sTrain because every training app we tried wanted to be our program. This one doesn’t. It wants to be the notebook you write in between sets.

§ 01What it is

sTrain is a workout log. You pick a built-in template or write your own. You type an exercise, a weight, a rep count, and duplicate the row for another set. You check it off when you’re done. Everything stays in a SQLite file on your phone — no account, no cloud, no sync.

§ 02What it does

Sets, reps, weight, cardio, and timed work. Static templates for Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, and 4-Day Strength. An inline rest timer with a haptic buzz. Statistics — count, streak, weekly average, total time, volume PRs. A full JSON backup whenever you want it.

Your body is not a dataset. It’s a thing you’re living in.

§ 03What it won’t do

No program that adapts. No coach. No periodization, no deload weeks, no progression engine. No 1RM calculator. No plate-loading screen. No leaderboards, no social feed, no gamification. The PRs are honest volume — max weight × reps, nothing extrapolated.

§ 04Who it’s for

People who already have a training plan — whether they wrote it themselves, got it from a coach, or bought it as a PDF — and need a clean place to log. People who want a quiet log on their own phone, not a social network for workouts.

App Privacy

Data we collect: none.

Not “minimal.” Not “anonymized.” Not “only what’s necessary.” None. There is nothing to upload because there is no server in this app. Your sets stay on your phone, in a SQLite file you can export.
