What’s inside

Six features. All of them.

There is no long tail. These six are the whole app. If you need a seventh, it probably belongs in a different app — and if that app doesn’t exist, maybe we’ll make it.

Sessions

Cycles or minutes.

Pick 3–20 cycles, or set a duration from 30 seconds to ten minutes. No artificial caps, no “unlock” for longer ones.

Haptics

Eyes closed, always.

Your phone counts the beats with haptic patterns and a soft guidance tone. No screen glow, no narrator with opinions.

Patterns

Five breath shapes.

Physiological Sigh and Box are free. 4-7-8, Coherent, and Bhramari unlock with Pro. Try one, settle on one, switch every session.

Soundscapes

Nine ambient beds.

Fireplace, forest rain, night forest, ocean waves, river stream, Tibetan bowls, white noise — three variations each. Or no sound at all.

Journal

Write it down. Or don’t.

Free-form text, a five-mood picker, and a link back to the technique you used. Stays in your phone’s local database.

No streaks

You can skip a day.

You can skip every day. The app won’t guilt you. It won’t even notice. Stats show the last 7 days free, or a year of history with Pro.

We built sMoment because every meditation app we tried wanted to be our guru. This one doesn’t. It wants to keep time while you breathe.

§ 01What it is

sMoment is a breathing timer with five techniques, nine optional soundscapes, and a quiet journal. Pick a pattern, pick a length, close your eyes. When the session’s over, nothing happens — no score, no streak, no “well done.” You go back to whatever you were doing.

§ 02What it does

Five breath patterns (Physiological Sigh and Box free; 4-7-8, Coherent, and Bhramari with Pro), nine ambient soundscapes, haptic counting, and a journal you write in if you feel like it. No account, no sync, no narrator. Free tier ships with the basics; one-time Pro unlock is $7.99 lifetime.

The best breathing app is the one that doesn’t make you feel bad for closing it.

§ 03What it won’t do

No guided meditations with a calm-person voice. No coaching. No streaks. No notifications telling you it’s time to be mindful. No cloud, no account, no analytics — your sessions stay on the phone in a local SQLite file. No watchOS app, no widgets, no integrations that might feel like homework.

§ 04Who it’s for

People who already know breathwork helps them, and who don’t need to be sold on it or coached through it. People who want a thirty-second reset before a meeting. People who prefer their wellness tech boring.

App Privacy

Data we collect: none.

Not “minimal.” Not “anonymized.” Not “only what’s necessary.” None. The App Store privacy label is the shortest one we’ve ever seen, because there is nothing to put in it.
