sDiary is a slow, intentional journal. You write a single line for what the day is about, capture a handful of moments as text, photos, or voice, and then seal the page. Once a day is sealed it goes into your book: the long arc of every page you've written.
No streaks. No engagement loops. No coach. No social. The day is yours, and so is the book.

Local-first, by default
Your days live in a SQLite database on your phone. Your entries only leave your device if you turn on sapplify Sync, and then only to your own account.

What is sDiary?
A slow journal with one page per day. You set an intention in the morning, add moments through the day as text or photos, and write a short reflection in the evening. Then you seal the day and it goes into your book.
Is sDiary free?
Yes. The whole daily loop is free: unlimited text moments, one photo a day, search across your last 30 sealed days, and export. There are no ads and no subscription. Pro is an optional one-time purchase.
What does sealing a day mean?
Sealing closes the day, like closing a page. It goes into your book and tomorrow starts fresh. For a short while after sealing you can still make small changes. After that the day is locked and stays the way you left it.
What are Threads?
Words and phrases that keep coming back in your intentions and reflections. A phrase has to show up on at least three different sealed days in the last 90 days to count. They are worked out on your phone, with no cloud and no AI provider. Threads are part of Pro.
What is a trusted reader?
One person you invite to read your diary. You choose how much they see: today only, the last 7 days or the full book. They can read but not change anything, and you can revoke their access at any time. Inviting someone needs a free sapplify account and Sync, and they sign in with the email you invited.
Is my diary private?
Your diary stays on your phone. Nothing you write is uploaded unless you turn on sapplify Sync yourself, and nobody else reads it unless you invite a trusted reader. Sync is free and off until you switch it on. It is encrypted in transit and at rest on EU servers, but not end to end. The app sends crash reports and basic usage data to our own servers, never what you write.
Do I need an account?
No. sDiary works without one. You only sign in if you want Sync or a trusted reader.
Can I export my diary?
Yes. Export gives you a ZIP file with a Markdown file for each sealed day, plus your original photos and voice recordings. It needs no account and has no paywall.
What does sDiary Pro add?
Voice moments, unlimited photos, search across your whole book, Threads and the full Year Review. Pro is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. The daily loop stays free without it.
